The Agile Approach

We are advocates of the Agile approach to software development. Agile is a set of methodologies which aim to break out of the classic IT project strangleholds - projects that routinely run severely behind schedule and over-budget.

Agile achieves this by encouraging much greater interactivity between developers, project managers and users; by preferring small teams of people working as closely together as possible (geographically as well as conceptually); by delivering working software often throughout a project lifecycle, and by acknowledging the frequent need for change and adaptation as a project develops.

 

We have been implementing Agile practices since early 2006. We find that it delivers substantial benefits for both us and our customers: everyone is kept continually in the loop with projects, so that what is delivered fulfills users' needs.
